It has recently come to the knowledge of lia
Majesty's Government that Mr. Alfred use Scott who
was before the war the british Vice-Consul at Yap,
Caroline islands, although possibly a british abject,
is really an employé of the German Jaluit Company.
It is possible that this information may be
useful for Your Excellency's guidance as it is also
known that Mr. Scott was in correspondence as recently
as Day last with F. Werner of the German Legation
Guard at Peking.
